Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose in the WWE, is now officially part of AEW.
Moxley appeared in the crowd and entered the ring after the AEW Double or Nothing main event match between Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. He attacked Jericho and a referee before brawling with Omega.
To put an end to any speculation of “what does it mean” AEW quickly announced Moxley as being part of their roster on social media.
They also issued a press release where they stated that Moxley has signed a multi-year deal with the company, effective immediately.
“The arrival of Jon Moxley at Double or Nothing was the perfect ending to one of the most important nights in wrestling history,” said Tony Khan, President and CEO of AEW. “There was no better way to conclude an evening of new beginnings than with the introduction of the best free agent wrestler in the world.”
Moxely will make his in-ring debut for AEW at Fyter Fest on June 29 at Daytona Beach, Florida.
