WWE Extreme Rules 2018 will air live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA on July 15, 2018 and will feature top Superstars from RAW and SmackDown compete for the top prize. With only a few days to go, this year’s Extreme Rules doesn’t have many “extreme” stipulations with just one out of nine matches having a stipulation attached to it.

However, the match card is packed with big names from both brands and brings robust action to the table with “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles defending the WWE Championship against the “Bulgarian Brute” Rusev, Dolph Ziggler defending the Intercontinental Championship against Seth Rollins in a 30-Minute Iron Man Match, Roman Reigns squaring off against Bobby Lashley and many more. Even Ronda Rousey, who is currently serving her 30-day suspension, will be present in the audience.

The following are 5 bold booking decisions that WWE could make for Sunday’s Pay-Per-View:

Team Hell No Loses

hell no

Kane returned to SmackDown and saved Bryan from SmackDown Tag Team Champions, The Bludgeon Brothers. Following their union, Team Hell No rightfully became the #1 Contenders for the tag team titles by defeating The Usos. However, Extreme Rules might not be the ideal platform for Kane and Bryan to be crowned the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

SummerSlam is one of the biggest Pay-Per-Views on WWE’s calendar and emotions are generally better felt when a superstar wins the gold at one of the top PPVs. WWE could play an angle where Sanity would possibly interfere in the Team Hell No vs. The Bludgeon Brothers match-up and cost Kane-Bryan the tag titles. This would essentially go in WWE’s favor as fans would cough up enough dough to see Team Hell No get their championship rematch and finally win the tag team gold, thereby generating a sold out SummerSlam PPV.
