The excellence of execution, the best is there is, best there was and the best there ever will be, the legendary Bret Hart! He has had some of the greatest matches in WWE history and is one of our all time favorite superstars. We thought we would have a little fun today by sharing with you some of our favorite Bret Hart matches that are on the WWE Network. If you love good wrestling, you can never go wrong with a Bret Hart match!

We have a couple of predictable choices here, but we did try and put a few not so obvious matches on this list for you to enjoy.

Bret Hart vs Stone Cold Steve Austin | WrestleMania 13

A predictable choice, we know. However, this is one of the greatest WrestleMania matches of all time. These two beat the hell out of each other and while it was an all out brawl, it told a wonderful story in the ring and it started Bret on his run as a heel and Steve Austin as what would be the biggest babyface of all time in the WWE. A true classic that never gets old!

Bret Hart vs Mr. Perfect | King Of The Ring 1993

These two had a ton of great matches and we were torn between this and their match at SummerSlam 1991. We decided to give this one the win as it is just a really fun match and a great example of why these two are two of the greatest of all time. It is not the longest match, but it never feels rushed, despite these guys getting a ton of stuff in and telling a great story.

Apparently, they have the full match on Youtube.

Bret Hart vs Hakushi | In Your House 1 1995

On the first In Your House PPV event, Bret Hart would actually wrestle twice! In the first match of the night, he and Hakushi stole the show. Now to be fair, Hakushi’s innovative areal offense is what really makes this match. However, it does take two to tango and watching the way Bret Hart overcame this new and strange opponent is really cool, interesting and fun. This is certainly one of those more forgotten about matches that does not get the credit it deserves.

Bret Hart vs Undertaker | One Night Only 1997

This was a UK PPV and it is most well known for HBK taking the European Title from The British Bulldog. However, it was Bret Hart and Undertaker who stole the show. These two had some great matches, but this one is a little different. Bret Hart, for the most part, goes toe to toe with Undertaker and it is a real brawl, a really interesting match and one that is well worth checking out. You can watch a short clip here

Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper | WrestleMania 8

What we love about this match is that it mixes good technical wrestling with brawling. These two guys have very different styles, but Roddy Piper really brought it for this match. Some of us grew up watching Roddy Piper and very rarely did he let someone get as much on him as Bret Hart did in this match and it made the match a million times better, the blood only added to what an emotional roller coaster it was.

These are just a few of the great matches Bret Hart had in the WWE. We would love to know your thoughts on these matches and what your five favorite Bret Hart matches are.
