Why Nia Jax Could Be The Next Big Heel In WWE’s Women’s Division

WWE’s Irresistible Force, Nia Jax has been on a roll since breaking SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch‘s face during the invasion segment on the Survivor Series go-home edition of Monday Night RAW.

This resulted in Jax facing backstage heat as confirmed by fellow Women’s Division Superstar Sasha Banks. Nia had already been facing issues backstage for recently injuring a few opponents in the ring and Lynch’s injury added enough fuel to keep the fire alive, so much so that WWE decided to establish the Samoan wrestler as an ardent heel.

Nia is currently enjoying an alliance with Tamina who she shares a family tree with. The two dominant powerhouses have put the entire RAW Women’s Division on lock including RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Ronda has been a thorough babyface but Jax has been facing issues with her persona ever since her debut on the main roster. Oftentimes fans were confused about whether she is a face or a heel, leading WWE to feud Jax with the forever-heel Alexa Bliss to clear the air. However, despite capturing the RAW Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34, Nia’s face persona faded as she challenged Rousey for a match.

In September Jax made her in-ring return as a babyface but turned heel after accidentally breaking Becky’s face. And the injury, in disguise, has apparently brought the solution to Jax’s long-standing persona problem.

Jax’s in-ring prowess is unmatched and many relate her to ex-WWE Superstar Kharma, thus giving her enough ground to establish herself as the most dominant pound-for-pound female heel in The Modern Era.

Post-Survivor Series, Nia has been constantly bringing up her right fist high in the air to rant how she is the “Facebreaker” of the women’s locker room. This week’s episode of Monday Night RAW was no different, however, her non-stop rants were cut short by Rousey.

It’s pretty evident that the Irresistible Force will be walking into WrestleMania 35 as a heel as WWE looks to capitalize on her current character. What happens post-April 7, 2019 is unknown, but Jax along with heel Tamina is already riding high to give enough nightmares to the female babyfaces on RAW for the next 5 months heading into WrestleMania.
