<p>WWE it seemed had sort of pushed itself into a corner when it came to the booking of Summerslam but somehow has still managed to pack in a lot of intrigue and excitement for Sunday. A lot of crazy things could go down on Sunday. Here is a look at the 10 craziest possibilities.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#1. Ronda Rousey Loses Her First Bout</strong></h2>

<p>Rousey has already proven that she can go toe to toe with the best in the business and can even have great matches with just about anybody. Everyone is of the firm belief that Rousey will win her first championship on Sunday and that is incentive enough for them not to allow that to happen.</p>



<p>Also, they do not want to jinx their biggest women superstar in the making by putting the title on her way soon. WWE definitely does not want another Roman Reigns situation here. The loss will, however, involve some shenanigans from Alicia Fox to keep Rousey’s legitimacy intact.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#2. Braun Strowman Loses the Money In The Bank Briefcase</strong></h2>

<p>Strowman is slowly starting to lose momentum and if he wins on Sunday then continuing to feud with Owens will seem pointless. He has no main-eventers to feud with at the moment and the last thing WWE want to do is to relegate him to a mid-card status.</p>



<p>With the Lesnar –Reigns situation being what it is, a cash in seems unlikely and Strowman losing the briefcase to Owens will keep the feud alive. It could lead to a long storyline where Owens someday cashes in to win the title only for Strowman to beat him. After all, the monster among men’s first title win should be a clean one and not an MITB cash-in.</p>







<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#3. Randy Orton Helps Nakamura Retain and Then RKOs Him</strong></h2>

<p>Jeff Hardy will probably take a break after Summerslam and as such a new player is needed in the US title picture. It would be classic Randy Orton if he were to somehow help Nakamura to win the match and the two then beat up Hardy.</p>



<p>Then Randy can appear to mock-celebrate with Nakamura only to hit him with an RKO out of nowhere. This will allow WWE to write Jeff Hardy off and give him time to recuperate while also inserting Orton into the title picture.</p>

<p>While his recent departure seems fairly permanent, the way in which WWE did it does raise a few questions. They normally do not fire a wrestler on-air before letting them go.</p>



<p>Instead of making the very difficult choice of choosing a winner between Charlotte and Lynch, expect WWE to have Ellsworth somehow cause a distraction and allow Carmella to retain yet again. That will then create some interesting possibilities for the Smackdown Women’s Championship at Evolution.</p>







<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#5. Samoa Joe Becomes the New WWE Champion</strong></h2>

<p>AJ Styles is yet another wrestler who needs a huge dose of momentum and having him drop the title to Samoa Joe can do that perfectly. And if the recent ratings are to be taken in to account, SmackDown needs a change.</p>



<p>Samoa Joe has always felt like championship material from the first day he walked into WWE and putting the title on him will revitalize both men as well as the title. Don’t expect the win to be clean, however, as Joe will end up using some underhanded tactic to gain the victory. Hopefully it isn’t a low blow.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#6. Owens Becomes the Next Universal Champion</strong></h2>

<p>Say another Shield reunion is on the cards so that Ambrose’s heel turn has maximum impact. That would mean that WWE needs a way to take Roman Reigns out of the title picture in the best way possible.</p>



<p>One of the ways in which this can be achieved is by allowing Kevin Owens to win the briefcase from Braun Strowman and then use it against the winner of the Universal title. Lesnar can walk away. Reigns can get the Shield back together and Owens and Strowman can continue having an awesome feud but with the title involved now.</p>







<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#7. The Bludgeon Brothers Are Defeated</strong></h2>

<p>This could be a fluke victory that no one sees coming like a roll up or something along those lines. The Bludgeon Brothers have been winning everything for a long time and that is making them a bit too monotonous.</p>



<p>An unexpected loss could allow them to go on an awesome rampage where they destroy everything on SmackDown for the coming weeks kinda like the Nexus did during their debut. This will make the tag division on SmackDown a lot more dynamic and if New Day is the team picking up the win then that can allow for some pancake madness as well.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#8. Lesnar Retains the Universal Championship</strong></h2>

<p>When it comes to Lesnar, WWE is known to do double swerves where they have everyone convinced that Lesnar is going to lose the title only for him to retain. That can again happen on Sunday just because WWE knows everyone is really sure that Lesnar will drop his title this time.</p>



<p>While his UFC commitments means that he will have even fewer appearances in WWE if any but WWE just loves to prove its fans wrong.&nbsp;<a href="https://api.wrestlingworld.co/news/backstage-meeting-for-brock-lesnar-scheduled-ahead-of-summerslam/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lesnar is scheduled to have a closed door meeting with WWE</a> on Sunday evening right before SummerSlam. This means the outcome of the Reigns-Lesnar match is still undecided&nbsp;and this one is very much a possibility</p>







<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>#9. Roman Reigns Becomes the Next Paul Heyman Guy</strong></h2>

<p>This could be the biggest surprise of Summerslam. Roman Reigns and WWE have been trying everything in their powers to sell him as a babyface but it has been met with resounding rejection from the WWE universe. A heel turn can do wonders for him and just imagine Reigns aligning himself with Heyman.</p>



<p>It will take out his one weakness which is his mic skill and people already hate him making it feel a lot more natural. If he wins the title on Sunday then a heel Reigns can feud with a face Strowman and WWE could have the feud of the decade.</p>

<p>We all know this is coming and it could happen as soon as this Sunday. There were plenty of pointers to this during Ambrose’s return on RAW. For starters, his crazy smile was missing throughout the segment. He seemed to be very angry and dead serious.</p>



<p>There was an uncomfortable chemistry between him and Rollins. A sense of unease that was highly palpable. Sunday could be the perfect set up for a heel turn. He could turn away his back when Rollins needs his help the most and then return with a chair and return the favor for Rollins’ betrayal that ended the first run of The Shield.</p>
