10 Wrestlers AEW Should Sign In The Near Future

5. Booker T

Booker T

Though technically not an active wrestler and currently working on the ringside as a commentator, AEW can make use of Booker T’s huge fan following in the US and specifically among the African-American community, if they really want to increase their viewership. He is one of the biggest stars in the US and in Africa as well.

The 54 year old star quit wrestling for few years now as he moved to the commentator box but we all know in wrestling world players who know how to play with words are the most impactful ones. Many WWE wrestlers considered him as their idol and he’s someone who has worked in WWE for a very long time, so he can teach many things that only experienced campaigners like him know.

4. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks is in hot water these days, she’s been all over the news and the only place where she isn’t is the WWE TV.

But according to some sources, she is still associated with WWE and just taking a short break from the show. She disappeared after WrestleMania 35 and rumors flooded on the internet that she has joined AEW roster as they are planning to strengthen their women’s division. But there is no confirmation to that and she is working on the WWE 2k20 game which clearly indicates that she is still with WWE.

But there is no doubt that she is one of the most popular female wrestlers and she has been openly supporting AEW on social media. AEW could definitely use her popularity and fan base.

3. The Usos

The Usos

The Usos can be the real game changers. Coming from the renowned Anoa’i family of Samoan wrestlers, that also includes their father Rikishi, Roman Reigns, Yokozuna and Umaga, Usos will bring their whole heritage, culture and experience with them.

The twins are arguably the best tag team in the world right now and also one of the best entertainers WWE has on their roster. They know how to carry a storyline and how to keep their chemistry as well. The Usos are the immediate go-to men for AEW if they want to strengthen their tag team division.

2. AJ Lee

AJ Lee

AJ Lee bagged huge stardom in a very short period of time. Although she held the women’s championship for a fair amount of time she is known for her acting (character) skills more than wrestling which a new wrestling venture like AEW needs at the moment.

AJ Lee will not only bring her experience, but she’ll also strengthen their storylines by portraying intense characters. And yes, how can we forget CM Punk here, who might also join AEW because of her.

AJ left WWE soon after Punk walked out and is yet to make a comment about her future, this is the perfect time AEW secure her signatures.

1. Johnny Impact

Johnny Impact

Johnny Impact (fka John Morrison in WWE) can be an easy steal for Tony as he’s not in WWE anymore. Working on the Impact roster, Morrison is one of the finest wrestlers produced by WWE.

He was an immediate hit, the moment he was introduced in WWE along with Joey Mercury as the team MNM. They won the championship beating many renowned superstars and after that he had a very successful individual career as well.

WWE is struggling and have signed many of their old heroes, so Morrison might be on their list as well. Tony and Co. should be quick to approach him if they want to secure his signatures. His Rockstar gimmick can still make an impact among the fans.
