2. Punt Kick

Randy Orton’s famed finisher, The Punt, has not been seen on WWE programming for over seven years now. It was in kayfabe the most dangerous move, known to end careers and put the wrestler on the shelf for months. The Punt was banned in 2012 after several wrestlers actually suffered injuries due to the move, and it was easy for kids to imitate, similar to Rollins’ curb stomp.

Orton has teased the move on quite a few occasions but has never been able to complete it. This has also been the case for Joe’s Muscle Buster.

1. The Original Piledriver

Owen Hart/Steve Austin

The most popular maneuver of the 90s, the Piledriver was banned from WWE in 2000. The Piledriver is the main reason why Stone Cold Steve Austin, one of the biggest superstars in the wrestling industry, had to end his career before 40.

Austin broke his neck after taking a Piledriver from the late Owen Hart, and it hampered his in-ring career. He was on the shelf due to his injury for a long time and only appeared in backstage segments. Needless to say, this became one of the wrestling moves banned by WWE after the unfortunate incident.

Piledriver has several variations in wrestling and WWE made sure all the versions of the Piledriver were gone from WWE programming in 2000.

The only distant variation of Piledriver is the Tombstone Piledriver, which has been neutered down for safety purposes.
