Vince McMahon is known for being very picky. Unless someone is exceptionally talented and has a lot of charisma to profit WWE in millions of dollars (and has great merchandise sales), McMahon isn’t going to like him. It’s sad but it’s true. And there’s nothing wrong about it, contrary to what other people believe. When you’re running a business, you can’t be emotional. You have to do everything that benefits your company in some way and the CEO of WWE goes by the same rule.

Over the last few months, WWE ran several experiments with their wrestlers. They pushed some and increased their television time but now, they are going to re-adjust their plans and “bury” some wrestlers who weren’t proved to be profitable for WWE…

5. Ricochet

Ricochet might be The One and Only in WWE but he most certainly isn’t that in Vince McMahon’s list. It’s hard to impress Vinnie Mac even if you’ve got talent.

When Ricochet first joined the main roster, he received a decent push with Aleister Black. But since facing Brock Lesnar at Super ShowDown, Ricochet seems to have lost his push in WWE. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Paul Heyman is all in to push Ricochet but Vince has made his call to put an end to it. Fans consider him a main-event wrestler but see the irony here; he’s literally performing at WWE Main Event now!

We don’t know what the future holds for Ricochet. RAW’s Executive Director Paul Heyman has a lot of say in WWE, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can convince Vince McMahon to give the former NXT superstar a chance on the main roster.

For now, Ricochet doesn’t have a storyline that will allow him some television time and he will probably have to wait until a few more months until WWE shakes up their roster and start new storylines. A move back to NXT wouldn’t be bad for Ricochet.

4. Elias

Elias is probably the only superstar in WWE history who gets paid to play guitar. Wonderful, isn’t it? He’s with Braun Strowman for a while now and that’s one reason Elias is getting some television time.

Recently, Strowman lost his Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn; he’s already buried so we can’t put his name on the list again. Next on the line could be his current tag team partner, Elias.

‘The Drifter’ hasn’t done anything significant in WWE to date and nobody would even mind if Vince McMahon cancels his push (which isn’t that big) and let him rest in his home for a few weeks or even months. This makes sense when you consider the rumors that WWE wanted to cut his television time months ago.

Also, Elias looks more of a comedic career in WWE. Unless the creative team focuses on his in-ring abilities more than what guitar chords he plays next… he’s got no chance to stand out.

3. Sami Zayn

Shinsuke Nakamura has already lost his push within WWE and Cesaro was never high in Vince McMahon’s list. Sami Zayn is considered to be one of the most underrated talents in WWE. He has good mic skills, performs decently in the ring, and guess what? The fans are behind him too.

Do you think that’s enough to become successful in WWE? Well, then ask those superstars who were most over with the crowd but still got buried. Zayn is going to receive the same fate, sooner or later.

It took him four years to win a singles title on the main roster and in no way, this shows that Vince has faith in him. Most probably, he’ll lose his title after an underwhelming reign. For now, Braun Strowman is going to receive a re-match soon, and the ‘Monster Among Men’ could be the one who ends Zayn’s push. Well, considering most NXT wrestlers do not succeed on the main roster, this isn’t shocking.

2. Lana

Just a few months ago, Lana and Bobby Lashley were in what seemed like the biggest storyline on Monday Night RAW. From divorcing Rusev to marrying Lashley in the ring, this storyline was the cringiest thing we’ve seen in years.

While it did benefit WWE and gathered millions of eyeballs on the internet, it served no real purpose, other than making Lana a “star”. She signed a deal that promised her screen time and stardom. WWE fulfilled their promise and now, they can focus on other things.

It’s rumored that the company wants to build Lashley’s character for a future Brock Lesnar match and this means he’ll have to move on without Lana (probably divorce her? That’d be awesome!). WWE has already stopped featuring Lashley and Lana together, secretly putting an end to their relationship.

1. Murphy

Now, we know what you’re thinking. But hear us out, guys.

Yes, Murphy is one of the main highlights of RAW, right now, but that’s because of his alliance with Seth Rollins. It’s being teased that WWE could split them soon. Perhaps, Murphy will turn on Rollins? And transform himself into a babyface.

It’s been a good few months for the former Cruiserweight Champion but we wonder how Paul Heyman would use him when he becomes a singles wrestler again. Heyman thinks highly of Murphy and even considers him the future of WWE, but we know Vince McMahon could certainly end his sweet push without any questions asked. He doesn’t see anything in Murphy… sadly.

He has impressed the fans so far with his work. When Rollins and Murphy split (perhaps during WrestleMania 36 when the ‘Monday Night Messiah’ faces Kevin Owens) and feud with each other, things could change.
