2. Roman Reigns
A powerhouse with speed. What much else could be said about Roman Reigns? In 2017, Reigns had definitively put all those who doubted his in-ring abilities to bed, as he delivered great matches on a weekly basis. Admittedly, we were not too fond of Reigns since the separation of The Shield because of his mega-push, but his hard work had grown over us. Most of his year’s rivals were fellow powerhouses, and those slugfests were feasts to the eyes.
Recommended matches: Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman (Fastlane), Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt vs Samoa Joe (Extreme Rules), Roman Reigns vs John Cena (No Mercy).

1. AJ Styles
Who in the world could it possibly be? Ever since AJ Styles stepped foot inside a WWE ring, he has constantly proven why he was given the nickname The Phenomenal One, having so many good bouts that if each of his good matches were an email, by now, they would be under the “Spam” folder. He lived up to his moniker in 2017, bringing a good match out of everyone. Damn it, he even had a great match against Jinder freaking Mahal!
Recommended matches: AJ Styles vs John Cena (Royal Rumble), AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon (WrestleMania), AJ Styles vs Jinder Mahal (Smackdown Live November 7th).
AJ Styles is WWE’s best acquisition in years. Still not buying that claim? Watch him carry WWE for the next half a decade.
