Top 5 Tag Team Matches In WrestleMania History

Top 5 Tag Team Matches In WrestleMania History

There have been some great tag team matches in the history of WrestleMania, hell WrestleMania I featured a tag team match as its main event and if my list was based on historical impact, that match would be number 1. Mr. T, Hulk Hogan, Cyndi Lauper, Roddy Piper all made that match mean something and shoot the WWE into the hearts of millions of people.

However, for this list, I have gone for my favorite tag team matches in WrestleMania history. I would love to hear what tag team matches you have loved over the years.

5. Demolition vs Colossal Connection | WrestleMania VI

Ok so as far as match quality goes, this one is not the best. However, if you are able to check out an unedited version of Demolitions entrance, the pop these guys get is insane. Honestly, at this point in 1990, only Hogan and Warrior were more over than Demolition! This match would see them take on the team of Andre The Giant and Haku to try and win their tag team titles back. Not only did they achieve this, Andre got to end his last WWE PPV match by slapping (or nearly slapping) around The Brain.

4. The Nasty Boys vs The Hart Foundation | WrestleMania VII

This is a fantastic match! These two teams really jelled well together and actually, I think the Nasty Boys are one of the more underrated teams from this era as they worked well with pretty much everyone. The Hart Foundation had been on a real roll and it was actually quite surprising to see them lose the titles here thanks to the interference of Jimmy Hart. Not only was this the last time we would see the Hart Foundation, it was also the start of the solo career of Bret Hart! Plus this is a really fun match too!

3. The Rockers vs Barbarian & Haku | WrestleMania VII

We are staying at WrestleMania VII for what is one of the best opening matches in WrestleMania history. This is quite a short match, but it does what it does very well. You get the power of Haku and The Barbarian, but you also get all the cool tag team moves of the Rockers. Plus a nice added bonus of this match is the way that The Brain has a mic on him so we can hear what he is saying to his men!
