2018 happened to be an odd year in WWE. It wasn’t completely good or bad but it still had some landmark moments and some moments that people are going to look back at for a long period of time. This, kind of set the tone for the rest of the year. This was one of the many high-profile retirements of the year. It was especially sad as this was finally the year where the women’s revolution that was started by Paige had some of its biggest moments and she could not be a part of it.

While fans were expecting to see Rousey make her WWE debut, especially after being introduced in the most badass manner (more on that later), there were still question marks over her in-ring capabilities. She blew all those doubts away in an impressive manner at the grandest stage of all – WrestleMania.
Asuka’s Streak Comes To An End
Asuka had been built up as the biggest thing in wrestling and it seemed like she was well on the path to being the female counterpart of the Undertaker when she won the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble. She won every much until she faced Charlotte at WrestleMania.
