Will Cedric Alexander Be The Next Star To Head Over To The Main Roster?
Lio Rush and Mustafa Ali have already made the move from 205 Live over to the main roster in recent months where they have found varying degrees of success, since Vince McMahon had the smart idea to integrate some of the Cruiserweight’s into his Raw and SmackDown brands.
Last night at Elimination Chamber, Lio Rush was pinned by Finn Balor in his handicap match for the Intercontinental Championship, which also featured Bobby Lashley and was then attacked by The All Mighty for costing him his title.
Interestingly, Cedric Alexander saw this match a different way and now believes that he has a claim for a match with the new Intercontinental Champion.
Could Tonight Be The Night For Debuts?
It was reported following NXT Takeover: Phoenix last month that the likes of Johnny Gargano, Ricochet and Aleister Black were all now main roster bound. The three stars are yet to make the jump up to RAW or SmackDown Live, but tonight could be the night for change.
According to a report by PWInsider, all three NXT stars are currently backstage at the Cajundome in Lafayette, Louisiana ahead of tonight’s fall out show following Elimination Chamber.
The build up to WrestleMania intensifies tonight since Fastlane is now on the horizon and the introduction of three of NXT’s biggest stars could be exactly what RAW needs to boost its ratings once again.
Many fans have commented on the fact that Black, Gargano and Ricochet have been seen in the area, which means that WWE is not keeping it a very good secret, but as of right now it is unknown as to whether or not the three stars will feature as part of the show.
Superstars are often spotted backstage, but this doesn’t mean that they will be part of proceedings. WWE could allow them to be part of a dark match or they could be in the area for something that isn’t related to tonight’s episode of RAW.
