The latest episode of WWE NXT featured some power-packed, hard-hitting action that resulted in a few dramatic injuries.
WWE NXT’s Injury Report confirmed that Tommaso Ciampa suffered an ankle injury during the main event of the show. It’s still unclear whether he would be cleared for the NXT Title match at TakeOver: Portland.
Adam Cole was pretty beat up and required three staples in his head close to a cut courtesy of the returning Velveteen Dream’s sensational superkicks and Dream Valley Driver. The injury isn’t serious and the reigning NXT Champion isn’t expected to miss any time in the ring.
Tyler Breeze experienced lower back stiffness after his defeat at the hands of NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin. WWE physicians are currently monitoring his condition.
Ciampa’s condition is the most concerning since he’s already booked to face Cole for the NXT Championship at TakeOver: Portland. A sudden change of plans would absolutely ruin the momentum of the ongoing storyline if Blackheart is indeed forced to miss the February 16th event owing to his untimely ankle injury.
