TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs is the company’s final pay-per-view of the year, but it appears that it will be one that won’t include Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
The show has always been seen as an underwhelming pay-per-view event of the year, but it will be the first time since the brand split back in 2016, that TLC will be a dual brand event.
The card for TLC has been advertised over the past few weeks and includes Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose colliding for the Intercontinental Championship, Nia Jax vs Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship and Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre.
This listing on SAP Center’s website has since changed and now reads that Baron Corbin will be facing Braun Strowman at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs since the two men have had a number of issues over the past few weeks and the WWE Universe will remember that it was the acting General Manager of Monday Night Raw who cost Strowman the Universal Championship back at Crown Jewel earlier this month.
There is talk that there is heat on Braun Strowman at present since he was humiliated at Crown Jewel when he was forced to take five F5’s from Lesnar before he was finally defeated by Lesnar for the Universal Championship.
There are also reports about Strowman when it comes to The Monster Among Men working with an injury because WWE has so many injury issues at present including Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and even Fandango, which is why it appears that the likes of Strowman and Lashley are working through their current problems because WWE can’t afford to have another star sidelined.
