AEW has officially announced that they are rescheduling a show in New Jersey from February 24 to September 15, 2021.
The rescheduling was prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic and is in-line with the company’s mission statement that the safety and well-being of their fans and talent is always their top priority.
AEW had originally been scheduled to hold a show at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, back on March 25, 2020. This was to be the “Blood and Guts” special. It was then moved to February 24 this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the AEW announcement, fans who had already purchased tickets for the Newark show can keep their original tickers, which will be considered valid for the September 15 event. Otherwise, they can refund their tickets at the point of purchase.
Refunds must be applied for and can be received within the next 30 days or until February 14, 2021.
There has been no release about what fans can expect during the September 15 event. While AEW has stated that the “Blood and Guts” match will eventually take place, no date has been given.
There’s also the question of who the participants will be as the original match was to settle a rivalry between the Inner Circle and The Elite.
