AEW Dynamite Beats WWE NXT in Wednesday Night Wars By 109,000 Viewers

For the sixth week in a row, AEW Dynamite beat WWE NXT in the on-going Wednesday Night Wars.

This week, Chris Jericho and MJF’s Le Dinner Debonair segment was the highlight of Dynamite while Pat McAfee’s return and the subsequent crowning of the new NXT Tag Team Champions turned out to be the focal point of WWE’s black-and-gold brand.

As for the October 21st episode, AEW Dynamite drew an average of 753,000 viewers with a 0.3 in the 18-49 demographic whereas WWE NXT garnered 644,000 viewers with a 0.16 in the 18-49 demographic.

It must be noted that Dynamite didn’t maintain the steady 109,000-viewer lead throughout the course of the show.

According to Bryan Alvarez, the quarter-hour (9:15 to 9:30) featuring the groundbreaking Le Dinner Debonair segment brought in 676,000 viewers for Dynamite while NXT managed a total of 607,000 viewers.

Furthermore, AEW pulled off a total of 352,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic but NXT could manage only a mere 178,000.
