AEW Dynamite: Cody Reveals He is Now “Cody Rhodes” Following Main Event

In the main event of AEW Dynamite, Cody Rhodes and The Gunn Club defeated The Dark Order’s 10, John Silver, and Colt Cabana in a 6-Man tag team match as Darby Allin watched from the stands.

Following the match, The Dark Order attempted an assault but Orange Cassidy dropped Silver with an Orange Punch, thereby forcing the heels to retreat.

After the victory, Cody cut a promo on Allin and reminded everyone how he was the one who actually pitched Daredevil’s name as an AEW star. The reigning TNT Champion then declared that Darby isn’t the ace, hence he won’t win the ace title at AEW Full Gear.

The show went off the air but The American Nightmare wasn’t finished talking.

It was at this time Cody announced that he no longer has one name – he is now allowed to use the Cody Rhodes name once again.

“As of this morning, I no longer have just one name. Whether Justin Roberts says it or not, it feels really good to be Cody Rhodes again!”
