AEW Dynamite Preview, August 12: Chris Jericho vs Orange Cassidy in $7000 Obligation Match

$7000 Obligation Match | Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy

Chris Jericho’s rivalry with Orange Cassidy has been brewing for the last several weeks, and every time both men have come face to face, things have gotten only worse. Jericho’s victory over Cassidy at Fyter Fest gave fans the impression that the feud was over but the humiliating orange juice shower on The Inner Circle paved the way for an exciting rematch.

Tonight, Jericho will battle Cassidy in a $7000 Obligation Match to cover the cost of his OJ soaked jacket. The Inner Circle won’t be there to assist Jericho and Best Friends have been banned from ringside as well.

Can Jericho score another victory over “the guy who puts his hands in his pockets”? Or will Freshly squeezed deliver on his promise to embarrass The DemoGod?

TNT Championship | Cody (c) vs. Scorpio Sky

Tonight, Cody will answer yet another Open Challenge as he puts the TNT Championship on the line against Scorpio Sky.

The King of AEW Dark will leave no stone unturned to remind everyone of his impressive AEW feats and this could be the night Cody’s 80-day title reign comes to an end.

AEW World Tag Team Championship | Kenny Omega & Hangman Page (c) vs. Jurassic Express

Kenny Omega and Hangman Page are set to defend the AEW World Championship against the fifth-ranked Jurassic Express.

Given Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy will be out for revenge on behalf of Marko, could the ninth title defense be Page and Omega’s last? Or will the reigning champs dig deeper into their 200-plus day title reign?

Tag Team Grudge Match | The Young Bucks vs. The Dark Order (Evil Uno and Stu Grayson)

As part of Tag Team Appreciation Night, The Young Bucks will square off with The Dark Order in an intense Tag Team Grudge Match. In recent weeks, tensions have boiled over between the two sides and tonight’s showdown will give the victor a solid upper hand in the feud that has just begun.

Jon Moxley & MJF

Last week, MJF bust Moxley open during the latter’s AEW World Title defense against Darby Allin in an effort to put the title onto someone who The Salt Of The Earth (wrongly) views as lesser competition for ALL OUT, but The Death Rider still managed to retain his strap in the end.

What will be the fallout from that bloody attack? Will Mox be on the hunt for Max?
