AEW Dynamite Preview Tonight, July 22: Cody’s Open Challenge, Young Bucks vs The Butcher and The Blade

Falls Count Anywhere | The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. The Butcher & The Blade

The Butcher & The Blade humiliated The Young Bucks’ number at Fyter Fest but The Jacksons managed to regroup and clinched a crucial victory at Fight For The Fallen.

Both teams collided in a traditional tag team match, nearly six months ago in Cleveland, and on that night it was Matt and Nick who came out victorious. However, tonight the heavyweight duo has a chance to even the score and given their undefeated run in recent weeks, it’s possible that the odds are completely in their favor.

TNT Championship Open Challenge | Cody (c) vs. TBA

At Fight For The Fallen, Cody scored a successful title defense against Sony Kiss in what turned out to be a grueling contest. Tonight on Dynamite, the Executive Vice President will answer yet another Open Challenge.

Which deserving challenger will Cody take on next?

Hangman Adam Page vs. Five (w/ Mr. Brodie Lee)

Hangman Page spent a nice time at a bar while his tag team partner Kenny Omega teamed up with The Young Bucks to defeat The Jurassic Express at Fight For The Fallen.

Tonight, Page will return to singles action as he squares off with Five of The Dark Order. “The Exalted One” Mr. Brodie Lee will be at ringside to monitor his recruit which means Hangman may have to deal with a 2-on-1 situation. Will Adam fly solo tonight? Or will Omega have his back opposite The Dark Order?

The Inner Circle (“The DemoGod” Chris Jericho & Jake Hager) vs. Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus & Jungle Boy)

Having suffered a defeat at Fight For The Fallen, The Jurassic Express will attempt to get back to their winning ways when they square off with The Inner Circle on Dynamite.

Last week turned out to be a nightmare for Chris Jericho & Co. thanks to Orange Cassidy’s juice shower, and now that the enraged DemoGod can’t wait to get his hands on Freshly Squeezed, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus may find themselves bearing the brunt of The Inner Circle’s fury at Daily’s Place tonight.

Diamante vs. Ivelisse Velez

Two skillful veterans in the business, Diamante and Ivelisse Velez will be making their Dynamite debut tonight at Daily’s Place. While Diamante has been on the pro wrestling for a decade, Velez has been perfecting her skills for nearly 20 years.

Which woman will rise to the occasion and steal the spotlight in tonight’s contest?

MJF (w/ Wardlow) in action

Tonight, MJF will return to singles action with an aim to extend his winning streak as Wardlow stands in his corner. Could MJF’s next opponent be the one to add the first loss to The Salt Of The Earth’s singles record?

Brian Cage addresses Taz

At Fight For The Fallen, Taz threw in the towel on behalf of his client, thereby allowing Jon Moxley to retain the AEW World Championship.

Brian Cage, who was later on attacked by the returning Darby Allin, wasn’t pleased with Taz’s move and will be looking to address the matter in the middle of the ring this Wednesday night on Dynamite.
