AEW Dynamite started introducing fans to their shows a few months ago after Florida eased down restrictions on lockdown. AEW has followed strict guidelines for the same and has sold tickets for Dynamite and PPVs at Daily’s Place.
However, despite limited tickets being sold, AEW couldn’t muster a strong audience this week, as far-less individuals showed up for the Full Gear fallout show this week, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The threat of Hurricane Eta was attributed as a major reason behind the low numbers.
“Between the threat of a storm and coming just a few days after the PPV, the crowd was the smallest to date. We didn’t even get a number but the live estimate from those there was a couple of hundred at best.”
Despite it being a fallout show, the ratings didn’t look promising for the show this week, which is a bit concerning for the top brass.
Tony Khan promised a show which will change the wrestling landscape, with plenty of surprises scheduled, but it wasn’t enough to catch the attention of their fanbase.
