AEW Dynamite: The Revival Debuts, Mike Tyson Brawls With Chris Jericho

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, The FTR, formerly known as the Revival, finally made their long-awaited debuts in All Elite Wrestling. After weeks of teasing on Being the Elite, the former Tag Team of the Year in WWE made their way to Jacksonville, FL.

The Young Bucks had a match with the Butcher and The Blade and were attacked post-match. FTR made their way out of nowhere and made the save. Initially, it seemed like they will join the heels in attacking the two EVPs of the company but instead helped them out.

They stared down the Young Bucks before making their exit, possibly teasing a feud with the duo down the line.

Even during their time in WWE, FTR had several teases of a match against the Jackson brothers. With their arrival, the AEW Tag Team Division now boasts of the likes of FTR, Young Bucks, Lucha Bros, and Santana-Ortiz.

Elsewhere, this week’s Dynamite saw the return of Mike Tyson, after his appearance at AEW Double or Nothing. Tyson presented the TNT Championship to Cody Rhodes after helping him win the title at the PPV.

Tyson interrupted Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle, and the duo brought up their confrontation from a decade ago. Jericho was knocked out by Tyson on an episode of WWE RAW, and Jericho demanded an apology from Tyson for his actions.

Tyson brought out a group including UFC stars Henry Cejudo and Vitor Belfort, amongst others.

Tyson refused and instead introduced his group of henchmen, and a brawl broke out between the two superstars.

The episode also saw a new number one contender crowned for the TNT Championship, with Jungle Boy winning a Battle Royal to become Cody Rhodes’ first opponent for the title.

Rhodes said he will be defending his title every week in an open challenge, similar to how several superstars, most noticeably John Cena, did with the mid-card titles in WWE.
