AEW Files Trademarks, Gives Update on Video Game Status

AEW has recently filed trademarks for three phrases that many feels sound like they could be video game related.

Two trademarks, for “All Elite Wrestling: Elite General Manager” and “Elite GM” were filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on September 10. Another trademark, for “AEW: Elite GM” was filed on September 15.

All three trademarks are for “downloadable game software”, including downloadable software for use on mobile and cellular phones as well as handheld computers and mobile gaming devices.

Meanwhile, AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega gave an interview with Gamespot where he talked about the company’s efforts to get their first video game out.

“I am working very closely creatively with the team and every few weeks, they have very exciting new things to show us,” said Omega, before admitting the game was still “a little ways away.”

“But when the game is ready, and when it will release, I think it has a very good change of standing alone as probably the best wrestling product as a video game that you could probably find in the market,” he added.
