AEW Full Gear: Kenny Omega Defeats Adam Page in the World Title Eliminator Final, Earns Title Shot

Kenny Omega won the World Title Eliminator Finals at AEW Full Gear.

Omega beat his former tag team partner, Hangman Adam Page, to earn a future shot at the AEW World Championship.

Omega and Page were only the second tag team champions in AEW History, holding it for 228 days before losing it to FTR at All Out in September.

Since losing the AEW Tag Team Championships, Omega has been loudly proclaiming that he is a singles wrestler again and has been reminding people that he had been a dominant force as a singles wrestler throughout his career.

To reach the finals of the match, Omega beat both Sonny Kiss and Penta El Zero M. Omega beat Page clean, pinning his former partner after delivering his One-Winged Angel finisher.

Impact Wrestling’s EVP Don Callis, who is good friends with Omega, was a special commentator who called the action.

It was pointed out that, though this is the first singles match between Omega and Page on AEW, this is the second time the two faced off in a ring.

Their first match was during NJPW Wrestling Dontaku back in 2018. Omega picked up the win over Page then too.
