AEW has announced that the two live shows that had been scheduled for December this year will no longer be pushing through.
AEW Dynamite had been scheduled to hold two shows in New Orleans and New Mexico on December 2 and December 30 respectively. Now they have officially announced that the New Orleans show has been postponed, and the New Mexico show has been cancelled.
The change in the schedule of these shows is indicative of AEW reportedly deciding to continue to have their shows at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, as it is easier for them to implement COVID-19 precautions.
Their statement about the postponement of the two shows does indeed cite “the safety and well-being of fans and talent” as a reason.
The show in New Orleans will have a rescheduled date to be announced in the near future. Fans who have tickets can either hold on to them and use them when the show’s new date is announced or they can get a refund.
Fans holding tickets for New Mexico event, which was to have been at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, will be receiving a full refund after 30 days, from their financial institution or from their point of sale.
