Almost two weeks ago, AJ Styles lost the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan on an episode of SmackDown Live and was then completely written out of Survivor Series, since Bryan replaced him in his match against Brock Lesnar.
WWE announced earlier today that Styles will be making his return to WWE TV on SmackDown Live tomorrow night to address Daniel Bryan’s actions since the current Champion turned heel for the first time since his return to the ring earlier this year.
Last week on SmackDown Live, Bryan claimed that the fans were to blame for his recent change of character because they gravitated towards Styles whilst he was out of action fighting for the right to return to full health and continue to live his dream.
Styles wasn’t part of the show as rumors circulated about the former Champion signing a new contract with WWE and whether or not he would be looking for a new promotion to lace up his boots in the coming months.
Styles reportedly requested less time on the road as part of his new deal, since he is now looking to spend more time with his family, after almost three years of traveling all over the world with WWE.
Styles and Bryan are rumored to be facing off once again at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs in a few weeks time, so this will give WWE three episodes of SmackDown to build up the rematch that the WWE Universe has been patiently waiting for.
Styles held the WWE Championship for more than a year before he was defeated by Bryan two weeks ago but it was speculated that WWE wanted to save Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles for WrestleMania instead, which is why Bryan wrestled at Survivor Series.
