Some time ago, WWE fired Zelina Vega after she raised her voice on the latest Twitch ban rule. Rumors also suggested that multiple WWE wrestlers had a meeting with Vince McMahon regarding the Twitch situation, but the situation didn’t change.
AJ Styles recently spoke with WrestlingINC and talked about his meeting with Vince. He said he wasn’t happy with the decision and by the end of the meeting, McMahon had clearly explained that his face is an intellectual property of WWE.
“I did [meet Vince McMahon over the third party ban,” revealed Styles, in an interview hosted by Inside the Ropes.
“Myself, Xavier Woods, and Sasha Banks had a sit down meeting in Connecticut about this situation. By the end of the meeting, it was determined that this [points at his face] is intellectual property.”
AJ also said that although he isn’t in support of the decision, he will agree with anything Vince decides for him. The Phenomenal One also revealed that WWE is currently working on a deal with Twitch so that wrestlers could continue to stream on the platform.
“I was already streaming and doing my thing. But it was during my time off, and not while working. So, they [WWE] examined it [the situation]. I wasn’t happy about it [the ban], no one really was. But, it is what it is. I’ll handle it the way that I have to. I’m a team player, he [Vince] is the captain. I’ll follow his lead as far as Vince is concerned.”
