Aleister Black Doesn’t See Himself Working With Zelina Vega, Confirms She’s Focused on Wrestling

As members of the WWE NXT roster, real-life couples Aleister Black and Zelina Vega were involved in a storyline feud when Black and Vega’s client Andrade fought for that brand’s top title.

Though the two were moved first to Raw then SmackDown and Raw again beginning 2019, they have not worked together on either the Red or the Blue brand.

Black has recently turned heel and Vega has made the transition from manager to wrestler after seemingly splitting ways with Andrade.

Black and Vega are up for the draft on the upcoming episode of Raw, and Black will be taking on Kevin Owens during the show.

Since it’s likely the two will be drafted to the same brand, WWE tries to keep the real-life couples together, Sportskeeda asked Black if he saw himself ever being managed by Vega.

According to Black, he doesn’t see that happen, as while the real-life “Tom and Thea” have a lot in common, the characters of Aleister Black and Zelina Vega don’t have anything in common.

“I personally think that it makes no sense to put me and her together”

“The characters have literarily no alignment with each other. So am I saying never, never, never, never? No, but right now it’s zero to none”

Black also noted that his wife will now be focusing on being an in-ring competitor rather than a manager, a decision he approves of.

“She’s proved her mettle as a manager, she’s proven to hold her own on the microphone. Even when she was a manager, she was likely to throw in the ring a couple of times,” said Black.

Black noted that Vega actually has had a lot of in-ring experience, just not necessarily in WWE. Vega has wrestled in independent promotions and worked in TNA as “Rosita” where she held the Knockouts Tag Team Championship.
