It was reported yesterday that Alexa Bliss had been forced to pull out of The Mixed Match Challenge because of an injury to her arm, this meant that Braun Strowman was then forced to partner with Ember Moon instead and the duo was victorious in the opening night of season two of the show.
Bliss was reportedly injured in her match with Ronda Rousey on Sunday night at Hell in a Cell, where she was forced to tap to the armbar, but it was when she awoke on Tuesday morning that she reported that she was experiencing a numbness in her arm so WWE is attempting to monitor this at present.
Rumors have been circulating concerning the validity of Bliss’ injury since many fans suspect that the company could be using the injury as a work to get over how dangerous Rousey’s finisher really is, or even call back Stephanie McMahon in order for Rousey to be punished for injuring a fellow star.
According to a report by PWInsider, this isn’t actually the case. Bliss’ injury is reported to be legitimate and that she was only pulled from the Mixed Match Challenge with Braun Strowman for one match, which means that WWE expects the former Women’s Champion to rejoin her partner as soon as their next match is scheduled to take place.
There has been no update on Alexa’s current status following yesterday’s announcement, but The Goddess has been taken off all WWE live events this weekend and it is thought that she has been sent home so that she can rest her arm and hopefully be re-evaluated ahead of WWE’s live shows next week.
