3-time RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss will face WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus at the Evolution pay-per-view on October 28.

The match is being dubbed as the “past vs. present” of the Women’s division in WWE. Fans are also calling it a “returning legend vs. current Superstar” bout.

Quite surprisingly, Bliss, 27, didn’t have any idea that she would be squaring off with Stratus, 42, at Evolution, the first all-women’s pay-per-view in the history of WWE.

Bliss revealed:

“I found out like everyone else did on Twitter, which is pretty cool.

“The tweet notifications and my phone kept going off. I said, ‘what’s going on?’

“So I checked my phone and I saw the WWE tweet.

“I was really excited and surprised because I love Trish.”

“I always watched Trish growing up and I wasn’t able to get in the ring with anyone during the Royal Rumble.”

“So I’m really excited to have this opportunity.”

7-time WWE Women’s Champion Trish returned to RAW two weeks ago and hyped her match against Bliss for Evolution.

Evolution will mark the second WWE match for Stratus in 2018 following her participation in the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble Match earlier in January. Overall, it will be her third appearance on WWE TV this year, taking into account her special appearance at RAW 25.

Before taking on Stratus in October, Bliss aims to recapture the RAW Women’s Championship from Ronda Rousey this Sunday at Hell In A Cell. Little Miss Bliss lost the title to Rowdy at SummerSlam.

WWE Evolution takes place on October 28, 2018 from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York. The show will feature over 50 female Superstars from the current RAW, SmackDown and NXT roster including women from the WWE’s glorious past.

The RAW Women’s Championship, SmackDown Women’s Championship, NXT Women’s Championship and WWE UK Women’s Championship will be defended at the event. Evolution will also host the finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament.
