Alexa Bliss was originally set to face Trish Stratus at the first Evolution pay-per-view back in 2018 but was later replaced in what was turned into a tag team match by Alicia Fox.
Bliss was struggling with an injury at the time and while she was able to be at ringside for the match, she was unable to check one of her dream matches off her bucket list.
It has been noted in the past few weeks that Evolution 2 is now planned for later this year and it was originally planned for 2019, but instead, the company focused on putting the women on the Crown Jewel card for the first time.
Alexa Bliss recently spoke to ViBe & Wrestling where she confirmed that if the show does go ahead later in the year, then she wants to face the WWE Hall of Famer and have the match that was planned for 2018.
“Probably Trish because that was the match that was originally supposed to happen or a tag match with Lita; I think it would be a lot of fun.”
“I think the original match of what it was supposed to be is the one that I would want to have so I can go back and mark that off my match bucket list.”
“Evolution meant so much to all of us and not just for the women who were in the pay-per-view but for the women who have helped us get to this point ever since a woman first stepped in a WWE ring has helped get to this point and the fact that our women performed at the main event in WrestleMania it was definitely a good kickoff point to show that you know our women are really valued in WWE and in sports entertainment.”
Bliss is currently embroiled in a storyline surrounding her recent interaction with The Fiend.
