Former WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox returned to action this week on Monday Night RAW.
Fox, who has been on hiatus for a couple of months and hasn’t wrestled any live events since early February, wrestled the reigning RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch on her return to the red brand.
Lynch would defeat Fox via submission despite the 32-year-old American wrestler showcasing a valiant effort against The Man.
The Women’s Division is currently on fire at the moment; with WWE allowing the female Superstars to break all barriers and compete at the topmost level, it would be interesting to see where a semi mid-carder/jobber like Fox fits in given the current scenario.
While Vince McMahon fired long-time employee Arn Anderson for allowing an intoxicated Fox to wrestle at a live event on February 10th, the fact that the former Divas Champion is still with the company does make fans question WWE’s current tactics. Moreover, Fox was also present at this year’s Hall Of Fame ceremony.
WWE doesn’t quite want to fire any Superstars unnecessarily at this moment in fear that All Elite Wrestling might sign the released wrestlers and make them even bigger stars in the pro wrestling industry.
