At AEW All Out, FTR dethroned Adam Page and Kenny Omega to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.
Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler’s stint with WWE wasn’t too great, to begin with. Vince McMahon didn’t book them in a serious manner and even prepared a comedic storyline for them.
However, things are much different for FTR in AEW and the duo is being booked in the right manner.
On the ARN podcast, Arn Anderson compared FTR to Tully Blanchard and himself. ‘Double A’ noted that Dax and Cash have the potential to become the greatest tag team that ever lived.
“Backing up a little bit, Tully and never split up. We went separate ways because of business decisions, but it was [cordial]. We never got into a feud or anything of that nature. These guys [FTR] are committed to being a team. I think being the best team, when it’s all said and done? That ever lived.”
It is to be noted that FTR is the first team to have held tag team titles in both WWE and AEW.
FTR’s next challengers will be determined this Wednesday night on Dynamite. It probably doesn’t matter who the challengers will be because there’s no sign of Dax and Cash dropping the AEW World Tag Team Titles anytime soon.
