WWE superstar Austin Theory returned to WWE television this week for the first time since July.
Though Theory was supposed to have been part of the RAW roster, he made his return on this week’s NXT in what seems to be the beginning of a feud with Bronson Reed.
While there has been no official announcement, it can be observed that Theory’s profile has been removed from the RAW section of the WWE website and moved back to NXT.
Theory’s last appearance on WWE TV was during the June 22 episode of RAW. It was rumored, but never officially confirmed, that Theory was suspended by WWE. There was some speculation that it was because of allegations related to the #SpeakingOut movement but that seems to have died down.
Theory had initially been brought up to the main roster by Zelina Vega this March. He was an associate of Vega till around May when Andrade and Angel Garza turned on him. Afterwards, he became a disciple of Seth Rollins along with Buddy Murphy and he was still playing that role when he was removed from TV.
Rollins spoke a little about the situation in an interview with SportingNews before SummerSlam but Rollins merely said that Theory had some “personal issues” so he took time off.
