Backstage Update On Finn Balor’s Status For TLC

Finn Balor was sent home early from the company’s recent tour of South America and didn’t feature as part of the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw last night, which has left his TLC match against Drew McIntyre up in the air.

WWE used the beatdown that he was subjected to at the hands of McIntyre backstage last week as the reason why Balor wasn’t part of the show in San Diego, California, but according to PWInsider, Balor is actually struggling with an illness and not an injury.

Balor has been replaced in tonight’s Mixed Match Challenge Semi-Final by Apollo Crews, which means that he won’t be required to return to the ring until Sunday Night, which should be long enough for the star to rest before his high profile match against The Scottish Star.

WWE has a number of stars sidelined through injury at present with Braun Strowman‘s status for TLC still unknown since he only underwent elbow surgery two weeks ago.

The Monster Among Men is now expected to wrestle a TLC match against Baron Corbin, in order for him to be given the opportunity to face Brock Lensar at The Royal Rumble. Corbin appears to believe that he could win this match by forfeit, since Strowman may not even turn up at TLC.

Hopefully, The Demon King will recover in time to take on Drew McIntyre since The Scottish Star is on a roll in WWE at present and Balor deserves a push into the spotlight as well.

As ever, WrestlingWorld will keep you updated with any changes that may be made to the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs card over the next few days, ahead of the final pay-per-view event of the year.
