Batista Misses Wrestling, Would Like A Match Versus Triple H

Former six-time world champion Batista may be making a new name for himself as actor Dave Bautista, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think about returning to the WWE.

“I miss it daily. I love it. I have a passion for wrestling,” he said during an interview with WhatCulture Wrestling.

As Dave Bautista, Batista is most known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. He’s also been a Bond villain in Spectre and had a role in Blade Runner 2049. He spoke to WhatCulture Wrestling while promoting his latest move, Final Score.

“I feel like in the core of me that’s who I am,” said Batista about wrestling. “I’m a physical performer and I miss it every day.”

However, Batista also said that, if he were to come back it would have to be both at the right time and against the right opponent.

The last time Batista came back for a WWE run was in 2014. The run was not well received as much of the WWE Universe felt he was being unfairly pushed at the cost of Daniel Bryan’s then red-hot YES Movement.

“The last time I went back was with really good intentions and I felt I wasn’t delivered what I was promised and that’s just creatively,” noted Batista.

As for whom the “right opponent” would be, Batista has previously stated that he would love to have one last Wrestlemania match against his mentor and Evolution stablemate Triple H.
