Former WWE Superstar Dave “The Animal” Bautista has not been invited to the upcoming SmackDown 1000 show.
SmackDown 1000 will take place at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, DC on October 16, 2018. Quite surprisingly, the city also happens to be hometown of The Animal.
As of this writing, The Undertaker and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are confirmed for the show. Other big names from WWE’s glorious past will also be present at the event on October 16.
It was recently reported that WWE Hall of Famer Edge would be at SmackDown 1000 although the Rated R Superstar claimed it was news to him.
It is quite natural for fans to think that WWE would invite Bautista for making a special appearance on SmackDown 1000, since the wrestler-turned-Hollywood star was one of the top stars in the promotion at a certain point, feuding with the likes of John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton, Edge and Big Show. Also because he lives nearby.
A fan recently tagged Bautista on Twitter hoping the 2-time WWE Champion would be present at The Arena on October 16.
The face behind MCU’s Drax responded in what might shock the entire WWE Universe.
Surprise surprise!! I wasn’t invited! And it’s in my hometown.! 😳.. guess by now I shouldn’t be shocked anymore. https://t.co/r1NwUNlRnf

It’s still unclear what the relationship status is behind Bautista and WWE.
The ex-WWE Superstar earlier noted that Kurt Angle replaced him as Ronda Rousey’s partner in the Mixed Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 34. COO Triple H stopped calling him and The Animal came to know about Angle on TV.
Recently, Bautista had publicly expressed his desire to have one last run in WWE before finally hanging up his boots. The 4-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion aims for a match against Evolution stablemate Triple H at WrestleMania.
It’s a 50-50 when it comes to the matter in question. There’s plenty of time for WWE to make a call to The Animal and confirm him for SmackDown 1000. This one seems very unlikely but it could be that Batista is already confirmed for the show and is creating an air of tension since WWE likes to hold its cards close to the chest when it comes to bringing back big names from the company’s glorious past.
