Becky Lynch was forced to drop out of her match with Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series last month when she was inadvertently punched in the face by Nia Jax when SmackDown invaded Raw ahead of the cross-branded show.
The SmackDown Women’s Champion suffered a concussion and a broken face in the confrontation with Jax and she was then forced to name Charlotte Flair as the woman who would step in her place at Survivor Series.
Charlotte was unable to defeat Ronda Rousey, but she did leave quite the mark on the Raw Women’s Champion, which could be why she has been put back into the Women’s Championship picture despite losing a Last Woman Standing Match at Evolution merely weeks ago.
The first ever Women’s TLC match will take place in less than a week’s time at the pay-per-view of the same name, but reports now suggest that Lynch isn’t actually cleared to return to the ring.
According to The Wrestling Observer, the Women’s Champion has been cleared following her concussion, but the issue now is with her broken nose, since she still has a nasal fracture. The good news is that this could be something that is cleared in the next week so that Lynch can take on much more responsibility in the match at TLC.
The Lasskicker has been working with “limited clearance” over the past few weeks, which means that she can be on TV but she’s now allowed to perform physically, which is very similar to Alexa Bliss earlier in the year.
Lynch has a Championship match next weekend and there are reports that stated that this was made a triple threat match so that Lynch was protected throughout, so it’s a definite that she will be cleared in time for the final pay-per-view of the year and her first title defense in more than a month.
