WWE Open For Sale
During the fourth quarter investor call, Co-President George Barrios revealed why WWE hasn’t been purchased by Disney, AT&T or Comcast taking into account all the businesses/companies the three conglomerates have purchased in the last few years.
Quoting CEO Vince McMahon, Barrios stated that WWE is always open to discuss a potential sale.
“They’re all smart, they’re all doing great things, I’m sure they’re going to be really successful. We’re happy with our strategy. I’ll quote our Founder, Chairman and CEO, who said we’re always open for business, and speak to people about interesting ideas, but we’re going to keep doing what we’re doing.”
Paige’s Plans Post-WWE
During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, former WWE Superstar Paige talked about her plans post-WWE.
Paige is following the advice that she received from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as she continues to build her brand.
“Don’t worry about being the next me, be the first you. That’s kind of the advice I have for people, too. You want to start building your brand early on, even if you love the job that you’re in because you know some things don’t last forever.”
The youngest WWE Divas Champion was forced to retire in 2018 after suffering spinal stenosis, the same injury that caused a sudden stop to the in-ring careers of Edge and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
