Ahead of her title defense at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch took a shot at Charlotte Flair, whom she had defeated at Hell in a Cell to capture the big blue belt.

On December 16, Lynch will be defending her title against Flair and Asuka in an epic Triple Threat Match at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

In response to WWE’s official tweet hyping the match, ‘The Man’ took a shot at ‘The Queen’ and called her “Bootleg Becky” in the process.

For those unable to relate, Charlotte turned heel on RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series and absolutely destroyed the “Rowdy One”. On the following episode of SmackDown Live, the 6-time WWE Women’s Champion once again displayed her new-found aggressive heel persona and laid waste to The IIconics. This has caused many to believe that WWE is trying to establish Flair on the lines of an already heel Becky.

Flair and Lynch will now rekindle their highly combustible feud that was put to rest prior to Survivor Series. The Irish Lasskicker, originally slated to face Rousey at the event, was replaced by Charlotte after suffering a broken face at the hands of “Facebreaker” Nia Jax during the invasion segment on the Survivor Series go-home edition of Monday Night RAW.

Asuka earned her spot in the Triple Threat Title Match after emerging victorious in the Women’s Battle Royal last week on SmackDown Live. The Empress has a golden opportunity to rebuild herself as a top star in the company come December 16.

Last week, the betting odds for the SmackDown Women’s Championship Match at TLC were revealed. Lynch turned out to be the most favorite to retain her title at the PPV.

It would be interesting to see how WWE builds up the Triple Threat rivalry on the next two episodes of SmackDown Live.
