Becky Lynch is still rumored to face SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka at Royal Rumble on January 27 despite the match being canceled shortly after it was made official.
The Man is still the hottest Superstar in WWE right now – the momentum she’s been riding high on since her heel turn at SummerSlam.
Lynch recently fired some serious shot at cross-over athletes and second-generation wrestlers in today’s pro wrestling business. Although she didn’t mention anyone in specific, it’s evident that The Irish Lasskicker’s words were aimed at Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
Rousey left UFC for WWE last year and Flair is the proud daughter of 16-time World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
It wouldn’t be odd to think that Lynch also addressed Brock Lesnar given she recently went toe-to-toe with John Cena, the 16-time Champion who she aims to overtake on the posters and the billboards.
Lynch is no longer a champion but that doesn’t stop WWE from placing her at the top of the food chain.
Becky will be taking on Flair and Carmella in a Triple Threat Match to determine the #1 Contender for the SmackDown Women’s Championship this Tuesday on SmackDown Live.
It would be interesting to see which woman gets the opportunity to face Asuka in Phoenix. Carmella’s inclusion in the match has raised some eyebrows for she is already slated to enter the 30-Woman Elimination Match at #30, a reward for winning Season 2 of WWE Mixed Match Challenge with R-Truth.
Fans are already yearning to see which route WWE is going to take to book Becky and Charlotte in the main event of WrestleMania 35 with Ronda.
Recently Lynch also fired a canonball at Asuka and her title. Click here to read what The Man said in her tweet.
