Becky Lynch Talks Being Mentored By The Rock and John Cena

Current WWE Raw Women’s Champion is set to appear on the TV show Billions and according to reports, she could have more movie and TV roles in the offering.

Lynch trained as a stuntwoman and was actually an extra in the TV series Vikings before she got the call for NXT. She was also part of the Marine franchise, appearing as a villain in “The Marine 6: Close Quarters.” Lynch’s ability to connect with an audience has made Hollywood take notice and it’s thought that there are more roles in both TV and the movies in her future.

Lynch gave a short interview with TMZ Sports where she talked about her role during the Season 5 premiere of Billions, set to show this Sunday on Showtime.

According to Lynch, she’s received guidance on her road to acting from two other wrestlers turned actors, The Rock and John Cena.

Lynch told TMZ Sports that The Rock actually put her in contact with the current agent and both he and Cena have been very generous with their time and advice.

“He’s been very giving,” said Lynch about the Rock. “I think they all are because they’ve all been there. They’ve been there and they’re all ready to look after the next generation.”

With regards to Cena, she told TMZ that he “checks up” on her and what she’s doing regularly.

“I think everybody wants to see the next generation move to where they’ve been,” she said.
