Current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is set to face “The Boss” Sasha Banks at Class of Champions, but it seems like Lynch is still itching to face another “boss”.
Lynch and Stephanie McMahon had an interesting Twitter exchange recently where Lynch hinted that she would be more than happy to step into the ring with McMahon.
The exchange started out when McMahon tweeted out her congratulations to Lynch for being featured during an episode to ESPN’s SportsCenter commercials.
“’The Man’ takes over ESPN!” writes McMahon, encouraging people to watch Lynch’s commercials.
Lynch responded to the Tweet with what many are viewing as a challenge.
“Anymore thoughts on you fighting me in front of lots of people?” Lynch wrote.
To which McMahon responded by saying basically that Lynch should concentrate on her upcoming title defense at Clash of Champions.
“I think you have the wrong Boss,” writes McMahon before wishing Lynch luck in her match against Banks.
This isn’t the first time that Lynch has expressed an eagerness to go up against McMahon. Last July, McMahon wrote another congratulatory Tweet to Lynch for being featured on the “Blockbuster” issue of ESPN Magazine.
“Thanks Steph, we should fight sometime,” was Lynch’s response to McMahon’s congratulations that time.
McMahon and Lynch have shared the ring before, most notably in the build-up to WrestleMania 35 where McMahon as an authority figure seemed to be getting in the way of Lynch getting the opportunity to face Ronda Rousey and win the championship at WrestleMania.
Lynch even went so far as to attack McMahon and her husband Triple H, but the two have yet to actually fight. McMahon isn’t an active wrestler anymore and only comes onscreen occasionally. The last time she had a match was during WrestleMania 34 when she and Triple H were in a mixed tag match with Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey.
