You can’t keep ‘The Man’ down. Becky Lynch may have been forced out of the ring due to injury but she’s still the top star of the company as far as much of the Universe is concerned.
The inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion and the current titleholder, Lynch now has another accolade to her name. She is the first woman ever to top the monthly WWE Power Rankings of ESPN.
‘The Man’ took the number one spot for this month, above her rival for “The Man” moniker, Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins. Rollins came in second to Lynch.
According to Matt Wilnasky of ESPN, Lynch’s career ascension has been astonishing, propelling her into the number 1 spot on their list.
“We all assumed Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey would take the women’s evolution to the next level, but it’s the SmackDown champ who has the most ardent and passion fan base in the WWE today, and that includes the men. Her beeline to the top of the summit is one of the best wrestling stories of 2018,” wrote Wilnasky.
Lynch herself has responded to making the top spot in the following tweet:
