Independent wrestler Ben Carter has announced he has tested positive for COVID-19. This comes after Carter was featured on AEW’s Late Night Dynamite show that was aired on Tuesday.
News broke out earlier today that multiple AEW talent had tested positive for COVID-19. No names were released, except for Lance Archer who personally released news of his positive test before last night’s AEW Dynamite.
Archer had been exposed through his family. Carter did not specify how he might have been exposed to COVID-19, but mentioned in a Tweet that the news came after “this Tuesday” when he was at an “all time high.” He also stated that he had gotten infected after his AEW appearance.
“I had some really cool things lined up in the coming weeks that I now have to back out of,” he said.
“But hey, I feel fine. I guess I don’t really taste my food as much as I normally do, but I feel fine. For now anyways” he ended his Tweet.
Carter’s match on Late Night Dynamite had been against Scorpio Sky. He previously had wrestled in AEW Dark.
After his original Tweet, Carter sent out another where he talked about how AEW had “strict” testing and he had tested negative each time that he had been there.
