BIG Update On Heyman & Lesnar, Braun & Nicholas Drop RAW Tag Team Titles, NXT Call-ups on RAW After Mania

PWInsider reports that Paul Heyman has inked a new short-term deal with WWE at RAW After Mania in New Orleans. It is also reported that WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar signed a new deal with WWE after defending his title at WrestleMania 34 and that contract includes everything The Beast wants including Heyman as his manager. Brock Lesnar is set to defend the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage Match at The Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, 2018.

RAW After Mania witnessed newly crowned RAW Tag Team Champions, Braun Strowman and 10-year old kid, Nicholas, relinquish their titles. The storyline is that Nicholas has to attend school and would not be able to defend the championship with Strowman. However, 205 Live General Manager, Drake Maverick seems to have kept the door open for Nicholas to return to WWE in the near future. Nicholas is WWE referee, John Cone’s son.

Monday Night RAW General Manager, Kurt Angle announced a set of Tag Team Eliminator matches to determine which team will face The Bar (Sheamus & cesaro) for the vacant RAW Tag Team Titles at WWE’s Greatest Royal Royal Rumble on April 27, 2018 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The first Tag Team Eliminator match witnessed The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) defeat Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson while the second match saw Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt triumph over Titus Worldwide (Titus O’Neil & Apollo).

RAW after Mania witnessed several NXT call-ups as has been the tradition in WWE in recent years.

Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions, The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar w/ Paul Ellering) made their main roster debut by answering a challenge from Heath Slater & Rhyno and winning the match quickly. However, Akam & Rezar apparently closed the book on their alliance with the Hall of Famer Manager after the bout was over.

WWE NXT Superstar, No Way Jose made his main roster debut by defeating enhancement talent, John Skyler in a squash match.

Former WWE NXT Champion, Ember Moon made her main roster debut by teaming up with with RAW Women’s Champion, Nia Jax to take on the team of Alexa Bliss & Mickie James. The match saw Nia-Moon clinch the win courtesy of Moon’s Eclipse on Bliss for the pin.
