Billy Gunn Says AEW Won’t Compete With WWE

10-time WWF/E World Tag Team Champion Billy Gunn is the first producer in All Elite Wrestling‘s team.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Gunn revealed that AEW will not be competing with WWE as the new promotion looks forward to the start of their proposed television deal.

No. I say no. Vince has been doing this a very long time, somebody has already gone after him once, and we see where they’re at. Why can’t we have our own product and they have their product?”

“Can we be an alternative to WWE programming? Yes
we can. Can we have as much of a fanbase? Yes
we can.”

Gunn will be inducted into WWE’s Hall Of Fame Class Of 2019 as part of D-Generation X(Triple HShawn MichaelsBilly GunnX-PacRoad DoggChyna).

Renee Young Rooting For Paige To Get Commentary Role

During a recent Q&A session on Regular Girls, WWE color-commentator Renee Young was asked about the possibility of an all-female commentary team in the company.

In her response, Young revealed that she plans on having Paige secure a commentary role in WWE for she thinks “Paige would crush it.”

“I think Paige would be excellent on commentary. I’ve been saying that for a little while. You know with her being out of in-ring action and we no longer have that GM role on SmackDown Live and she is you know in the same way as Beth Phoenix she’s someone who grew up in wrestling. She knows it, she loves it. She’s got such a strong character and a strong personality that I think she would be a shoo-in to step in on commentary anywhere.”

“I’m gonna bug her about that. I’m gonna try to make that happen because I think she would crush it.”
