Billy Gunn Talks New AEW Role

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Billy Gunn is the first producer of All Elite Wrestling, as announced at last week’s rally.

During a recent appearance on Sirius XM Busted Open Radio, Gunn talked about his new role with the new promotion that’s being spearheaded by Tony Khan.

“I don’t know a lot about what’s going on. I know I’m the only producer they have right now, so my role as of right now is just agent. I might work a little bit, also. I might be talent too, which is OK with me. I work everywhere else; I might as well work for the company that I work for. I wish I could answer that. I really don’t know because, like I said, this literally just happened this week. We’re still in the process of trying to get things together, so as soon as I know more, I’ll be able to speak on that a little bit more.”

Jeff Hardy On Matt Hardy’s Status

The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt) are in the pro wrestling business for over 25 years now and have dealt numerous damages to their bodies in this long career. The Hardys are the only tag team in history to have held tag team championships from all three major U.S. promotions (WWE, TNA and ROH) within a month’s time.

During a recent interview with WrestlingNews, Jeff was asked about Matt’s current status in the business.

“I don’t think he’s really retired.”

On being asked about how long he thinks he can keep going in the ring, The Enigma replied:

“I don’t put a number on it. I just take it week to week, year to year and see how it goes.”

CM Punks Teases New Career As NHL Announcer

CM Punk looks to explore the horizons of his commentary career, having debuted as an MMA broadcaster back in December.

American rapper Snoop Dogg was recently at the commentary booth during the LA Kings hockey game. Post-game, a Twitter post asked fans of Chicago Blackhawks which celebrity they would like to see next on commentary to which the longest reigning WWE Champion of The Modern Era replied with a gif of his own.

It could be a casual reply too, but the gif gives off the feeling of a tease that has led the IWC to already speculate on Punk’s potential new career in NHL.

Triple H Explains Why Ricochet Is Still In NXT

During a recent interview with InsideTheRopes, WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Paul “Triple H” Levesque explained why NXT North American Champion Ricochet is still on WWE’s developmental brand despite being a top world-class athlete.

“You say why is Ricochet there? Because Ricochet is a great in-ring performer that was, the same thing he was petrified to put a microphone in his hand and have to talk with it. If I said to him look at the jib camera he’d be like, ‘What’s a jib camera?’”

“That’s a process. It’s a process that everybody has to go through to make them something more. It’s not always about, ‘Oh we need to make you a better wrestler.’ Right?”
