Bobby Lashley returned to WWE following this year’s WrestleMania and many of the WWE Universe believed that the main reason why The Dominator was brought back to the company was because he had an MMA background and could then neutralize Brock Lesnar.

Lashley has since been pushed into a number of strange feuds with Sami Zayn and Jinder Mahal and Roman Reigns was the star that was given the match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam instead.

There were then rumors that Lashley could be the next star to work under Paul Heyman, which would have given him a hook for a feud with Lesnar, but instead it was revealed this week on RAW that he has been given Lio Rush as a manager.

Lashley himself thought that he would be facing Brock Lesnar and in a recent appearance on The Big J Show on KRSQ Hot 101.9 Lashley was able to reveal how he felt about missing out on that match against The Beast.

“I wasn’t so much bummed, I was more p***d off. Ever since I came into WWE, there’s always been that comparison, and our paths have never crossed. I’m waiting for it to happen,” Lashley said via Ringsidenews. “I think so many other people are so also. It’s something that’s going to be electric, it’s something that… needs to happen.”

Lashley has recently stepped into a storyline with Kevin Owens, whilst Brock Lesnar has made his return to WWE ahead of his huge match with Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. This means that it’s still likely that the two men will cross paths in the future, but right now WWE has much bigger plans for both men.
