Bobby Lashley Sets His Sights On Universal Champion Brock Lesnar

Monday night on Raw, Bobby Lashley was part of the 10-man Battle Royal that would crown a new number one contender for Brock Lesnar‘s Universal Championship following his Money in the Bank cash-in at Extreme Rules.

It was a match that was won by Seth Rollins, who only lost the title to The Beast Incarnate the day before and now gets the rematch he was hoping for at SummerSlam.

Lashley and Lesnar were rumored to be entering a feud a while back that would center around the fact that both men had MMA backgrounds and could put on a legitimate fight. It appears that the former Intercontinental Champion is hoping that WWE will re-visit the idea of him facing Lesnar in the near future since he sent out the following Tweet earlier today.

Lashley obviously celebrated his Birthday in style by requesting that Paul Heyman informs his client that he will be waiting for him after SummerSlam.

It’s interesting to note that Lashley doesn’t state that he wants the winner of the match next month, so he’s not looking for a match for the Universal Championship, instead he wants The Beast Incarnate so that the two men can finally go to war.

Lashley recently lost his Last Man Standing Match to Braun Strowman at Extreme Rules which is just the latest in a long line of disappointing issues that Lashley has had since he returned to WWE the night after WrestleMania last year.

The former TNA star had Lio Rush by his side for a short amount of time, but he no longer has Rush to speak for him since he’s fallen out of favor backstage and hasn’t been seen on WWE TV for a number of months.
