Booker T is about to become a WWE Hall of Famer for the second time, as the tag team Harlem Heat, consisting of he and his brother Stevie Ray, are members of the class of 2019.



Another inductee is former Women’s Champion Torrie Wilson. 



While no one seems to be questioning Booker’s second
induction, many are questioning Ray and Wilson’s induction.



One of the most prominent is Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer
who basically said, if Ray and Wilson were going to be in the Hall of Fame, “How
seriously do you want to take it?”

Many others have spoken up on behalf of Ray and Wilson
following Meltzer’s words and Ray himself has responded to Meltzer in a Tweet:

Now Booker himself has released a statement where he stands
up for both his brother and Wilson.

People who haven&#8217;t done anything for this business talking about who should or shouldn&#8217;t get into the Hall of Fame,&#8221; begins Booker.</blockquote>

According to Booker, what should “count” when deciding who
is a Hall of Famer is the legacy that they have left behind.

With regards to Wilson, he also believes that she definitely
has a place in the Hall of Fame for paving the way for women who thought “they
couldn’t do it” and be in the WWE.



Wilson has also responded to critics, who tend to deride her
induction because she was of the era where women’s matches tended towards “bra
and panties”.
